Patch Purpose

The purpose of this patch program is to encourage GSA member involvement within the organization over time, while also focusing on the areas in which GS/GSA needs the most support.
There are four (4) areas/colors of involvement, each with a title badge:  Membership, Attendance, Volunteering, and Service.  There are four (4) patches that can be earned in each area and once a member earns a badge in a specific area, they also earn the title patch. 

Who Can Participate?

Any member of the Girl Scout Alumnae of Northern California - San Francisco Bay Chapter.  You will receive your center patch when you become a member.

Patch Program Steps

Membership

  • Lifetime GSA membership or paid member of GSUSA or GSNorCal
  • Attend a Mid-Year Meeting
  • Attend an Annual Meeting
  • Invite a friend to join, and friend joins

Volunteer

  • Volunteer at GSA hosted event:  Holiday Extravaganza, Gold Award, Women’s Weekend
  • Volunteer by working the GSA table at a GS event (Discoveree, Golden Gate Bridging, etc.)
  • Volunteer at a GSNorCal event:  Discoveree, (planning committee, work the GSA table, lead a workshop)

Attendance

  • Attend a small GSA/FUN Committee hosted event/activity
  • Attend a large GSA hosted event:  Women’s Weekend, Gold Award, Scrap-a-ganza, etc.
  • Attend a GSNorCal hosted event: Discoveree, etc.
  • Attend a GSUSA hosted event: Golden Gate Bridging, etc.

Service

  • Serve as an officer in an elected role
  • Serve in an appointed position
  • Chair a committee or large event
  • Receive Honorary Lifetime Award for service
